Dear Partner,
This is to inform you that unfortunately the Coronavirus has reached the shores of Mauritius and in line with the steps taken by other countries hit by this pandemic, the island is now on ‘lockdown’ for 2 weeks as of today.
We can advise that we already have a contingency plan in place to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption and at the same time we have taken measures that make the health and safety of our staff a priority. As such, all employees have been instructed to work from home with immediate effect.
Thankfully, we implemented ‘work from home’ procedures more than a year ago so our employees are already used to working from a remote desktop environment and we hope this will allow us to maintain our normal high standard of service levels.
As most of our communications are conducted through email, it is unlikely that you will notice any significant difference in the day to day delivery of our services however it is always possible that you may experience a delay and we would just ask for your patience in such situations.
All underwriting and premium collection processes will remain unaffected however we will only be sending policy schedules electronically for the time being whilst the countrywide lockdown is in place.
Whilst service delivery is a key part of our business, we will continue to put the health and safety of our employees at the forefront of our plans and we will be regularly reviewing our working practices as the situation develops.
